Ridiculous, maybe heart disease will soon be considered pre-existing since maybe you ate the wrong foods all your life to create the condition. The same could be said for adult onset diabetes, and probably many other conditions. Those were choices too. I can see insurance companies not covering c-sections if they are not necessary. Maybe that would lower the c-section rate. More likely the rates would continue to climb and people would have to file bankruptcy to cover the cost of the doctor’s haste to remove a baby from a women’s womb. It is all rather ridiculous. Our countries’ health care situation is too much about money. We pay the insurance cost out of pocket. We pay the co-pay, and what the insurance doesn’t cover. However, we are often not able to reap the benefits that our insurance is suppose to provide. As time goes on your policy changes to cover less and less and charge you more and more. The medical community is much to blame. Looking for the almighty dollar they prescribe medicine not needed, order test not necessary and schedule follow up appointments that are not necessary. All of that gets charged to your insurance company (of course you still pay the uncovered expenses here too). It is a very bad system where your health is not the priority, money is. Money for doctors, pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies. When will we wake up and change this system for the betterment of all?
