According to Bill Maher, we should:

“Stop acting surprised that someone choked Tila Tequila.  the surprise is that someone hasn’t choked this bitch sooner.”

Desperate as we may be for all the laughs we can  get these days, misogynist violence is no laughing matter–saying that a woman (whom he refers to as a bitch at that) deserves to be choked IS NOT FUNNY.

What nails me is that the rest of what Maher is saying is so on target, but why this is considered amusing escapes me and I am so disappointed with his panelists for laughing and not calling him out for this.  You can see it here, I’m not going to dignify it  by embedding it in the post.
