Lace, satin and a painful debilitating rash–not exactly any woman’s idea of sexy.  But several women are reporting that is just what they ended up with after buying bras from Victoria’s Secret.  While the allegations are still being investigated and a lawsuit has been filed, an attorney for one of the women says that preliminary tests indicate that the bras contain formaldehyde.

While it is no secret that clothing is sometimes treated with various chemicals–fire retardants and dry cleaning chemicals in particular, clothing that is in direct contact with sensitive breast tissue is of particular concern.  We urge Victoria’s Secret to cooperate fully in investigating these charges and if substantiated to take immediate steps to rectify the  situation, there is nothing beautiful or sexy about compromising women’s health.

Might be a good time for a little frontal nudity, but definitely ixnay on bra burning if formaldehyde is involved.  Seriously… Let Victoria’s Secret know you’re going to be taking a pass on their products until you know that they are safe.
