<description>Great post with very relevant points. There are some very good breast cancer advocacy groups fighting for well funded, open, innovative research into environmental causes of breast cancer.

National Breast Cancer Coalition has been working for 7 years to gain passage of the Breast Cancer &amp; Environmental Research Act, a bill that would do just that. Unfortunately, one of those commercial breast cancer groups whose products you see everywhere, hijacked the bill in the final moments before passage. The bill passed, but it no longer requires that be spent on breast cancer or environmental research.
