Call me a lazy citizen, but it is 9 am and I have not yet finished reading the 451 page bailout bill that the Senate passed last night.  But then again, I’m guessing that none of the Senators read it either.

How else to explain that suddenly on page 115 there is a section titled “Energy Production Incentives” that goes on for well over a hundred pages.  My favorite provision in that particular section pertains to top-loading clothes washers (page 223).  Then there is section 308 on page 279 entitled the “Increase In Limit On Cover Over Of Rum Excise Tax To Puerto Rico And The Virgin Islands“.  And do check out the “Seven-Year Cost Recovery Period For Motorsports Racing Track Facility” on page 290.  Finally on page 300, is the crucially important clause on the “Exemption From Excise Tax For Certain Wooden Arrows Designed For Use By Children“.

Truly, what can you say–this is our government’s plan to save the economy from an “emergency” that any idiot could have seen coming the day they invented sub-prime mortgages? Not only will this bill not “save” the economy, continuing to allow the self-centered morons who wrote and voted for this legislation to run this country will destroy us.
