This Is What Women Want
The Center For New Words has a fabulous new website called This Is What Women Want. According to CNW’s Jaclyn Friedman, the purpose of the site is to “reframe the whole concept of “women’s issues” and “women’s anger” in this election by promoting to the newsmedia and the candidates the diverse voices and visions of real women across the country, via a website and series of live speakouts.”
If you go to the website you can speak out on issues that are important to you and there will be local live speakouts and weekly press releases to the media highlighting the best speakouts each week.
This is a great tool for getting visibility for women’s voices, let’s use it!
No doubt about it CNW has a much better take on this than Mel Gibson ever did!
