Women Raped in Kabul Prison

Afghan parliamentarians: “Women prisoners are raped in a Kabul prison”
Members of Afghanistan parliament accuse some officials of Pul-e-Charkhi prison in Kabul for raping women prisoners.
A delegation of Afghan parliamentarians who recently visited the prison say some women become pregnant after being raped.
MPs say they are concerned about the conditions of Afghanistan’s prisons and are afraid such violations are going on in prisons in the other provinces.
These concerns are stated a day after the Amnesty International report warned about possible abusing of prisoners in Afghanistan.
The findings of parliament delegation suggest that prison officials first give medicines to prisoners to stupefy them and then sexually assault them.
Fouzia Kofi, one of the MPs who meet these victims in the prison, says in some cases victims have been forcibly raped.
Ms. Kofi says: “they (prisoners) say when we are ill and ask for medicines, they gave the medicines to make them unconscious, and then they are sexually abused. In some cases they are forcibly taken to the offices of prison officials, few women have got pregnant.”
She says, fearing Afghan traditions and prison officials have made some victims silent, so it is difficult to find out a statistic about the number of abuses.
She says: “the numbers of women who are ready to talk about these issues are few and unfortunately they don’t have the gut to expose the truth. Because when we (the fact-finding delegation) leave the prison, they become defenseless.”
The Amnesty International had already warned about torture of prisons in Afghanistan, but the delegation of Afghan parliament believe the situation in the Afghan prisons is worse then what is reflected in the AI report.

Here’s a crime as old as our race.
I wish to God I could suggest some kind of remedy. Maybe with world attention, something might be done by the Afgan govn’t.
We should be very proud of how we ‘freed’ the women in Afghanistan and Iraq. My God, look at the children in prison. What is wrong with our military? I am so ashamed of the behavior of our ‘men in uniform’. Report after report of rape , torture, murder and theft. When they come back we will have to protect ourselves from what our sons and brothers have become.
I am happy, that the international Human Right is looking for the jails from time to time. If Afghan Parliament were honest and real member in behave of Nation in Parliament, then they would advise immediately the government to put the responsible guys into prison, it is cheating to say, when we leave the prison, then they become defenseless!
They are making just their comments then, when such cases come out to outside. All responsible of jails are their guys. If in government and in parliament are sitting corrupted, killer and criminals, how can be expected from them to do their jobs properly. In Afghanistan jails ruled tortures and misusing, specially in women jails. How can act one president, when he has to ask for each action by Embassy of USA in Kabul, this why, the criminal, killer and corrupted guys are more motivated to do what they want, it is ruling chaos and anarchy.
Mr. President Karzai announced few days ago, all high buildings( markets, hotels, houses) and private companies in city Kabul and an other cities even in foreigner countries are belong to the peoples, who are sitting in government and parliament. We protested long long time ago many times, that those criminals, killer and corrupted people are brought together by Mr. Khalilzad, this will not work, even this Parliament suspended one young courageous member of Parliament Ms Malalai Joya, because, she appeared their dirty games and doing.
It circulated the information, that young women and girls will be brought to the foreigner military bases for sex, such transportation will be organized and coordinated by high level woman, the people are behind this matter to collect evidences. They are doing every things for money, even they are getting instruction from Russian, Iran and Pakistan too and foreigner countries/ so called supporter) spoiled them, their politicians know about all these disaster, but they are reacting like 3 China’s monkeys: ” not see, not hear and not saying”, because they are afraid, that Mr. Warrior G. W. Bush will then confronted them: Are with me or with enemy?
