State of Wyoming Dangerous for Women and Other Living Things
What do you call people who live in Wyoming, Wyomingans? Well whatever you call them, they are totally half-cocked on this one. Seems they want to overrule federal law to allow people (aka men) who have domestic abuse misdemeanor convictions to regain their right to bear arms because it is just unreasonable to deny them their right to go hunting. As opposed to the right of the women in their lives not to fear for their lives?? Gun Guys has it right:
“So, once again, it’s all about the self-centered gun owner, not about their responsibilities and behavior.
Excuse us, but doesn’t being convicted of domestic violence no longer make you a “law abiding� gun owner?
It’s a little hypocritical to contend that people who broke the law should be restored to “law abiding� citizens by erasing any record of their criminal violations.
It is also contemptible to belittle the act of domestic violence by calling it “where a family went a little too far in defining their opinions to each other.â€? Uh, that would be called arguing, not domestic violence.”
