I am a believer in Jesus. And, I find this to be idolatrous and off-message. This farce has nothing whatsoever to do with the Christian Commission or the good news of Christ. This is all about some foundation plucking the guilt-strings of the gullible in order to raise money for a foundation that will fail to benefit the many, just to once again enrich the few. They will have their reward the moment they receive that check in the mail.

If these deceitful delusional fakers actually had one ounce of Christian Compassion, every single mission they undertook would be about saving souls, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, parenting orphans, sheltering homeless people, healing the sick, attending the needs of elders and widows, and addressing the needs of the imprisoned. I don't read anywhere in scripture where the early church wasted a dime on the erection of a gilded idol to commemorate a social campaign. Yet, during these Laodecian times, every other trick turned by these contemporary pimps of Christ's Bride (His Church) is to gain piles of money and resources from which the works of faith, the people of GOD, and the needy world almost never benefit. They take up "righteous causes" as opposed to the Cause of Christ. For, the true Cause of Christ is not more obsessed with knowing when life begins over sharing the Good News of the Way to Eternal Life. These pro-life advocates are decietful wolves in sheeps, full of signs and lying wonders from hell. I can greatly appreciate their being against abortion. It is a choise, after all. I, too, am against abortion. I thank and praise God every day that I have never been found in a predicament where I have needed an abortion. I have been blessed. Howerver, not every woman is so blessed. Women who come to need or want an abortion, however, deserve the right to make that decision for themselves. I feel we should allow these women to go before God for themselves without the interference of selfrighteous hypocrites out to raise an unsolicited Army for Jesus. I just wish these zealots would go as vigourously and passionately after those elements that force a woman to resort to abortion, with no prejudice aforethought. The reality is that abortion is usually a last resort. It isn't as though we gals get together in someone's rompous room on Saturdays to plan a theme-party for abortion the way Tupperware vendors do to huckster containers.

Most anti-abortionist acts are so jaded by an absence of compassion and front-loaded with such tearse judegemental sanctimony. For a change, I challenge them all to allow others the freedom and liberty that Christ has granted us all. Jesus drew us from death and spiritual deprivation through perfect love, grace, and mercy. Jesus honors faith over ritual and dogma. Jesus made repentence available just for the asking because He knew we were nothing if not utterly fallible. In the end, the Lord Who knows the motives of the heart will judge us all. In the meantime, however, I am appalled that the health and safety authorities did not question these twits' possession of medical waste. I don't recall the Savior ever running around Judea with unclean human medical wastes in His possession just to prove a point to Roman scoffers. As a matter of fact, Jesus' advice for dealing with scoffers who would not receive the Good News of His Kingdom was for us to shake their dust off our feet, and move on to the next group to give the testemony. Jesus did not plan clinic bombings, abortionist assassinations, or sit-ins to impede His enemies' progerss. Since He forbade Peter and John from erecting a shrine for Him, I certain He would not raise a guilded relic of Him with an aborted child while other children starve, go naked and hungry, or die in wars. The Lord is not pleased, and I am not amused.

<strong>VL's mention of anti-stem cell research generated this thought. In addition to the nearly unlimited medical benefits that can be derived from such research there is the possibly that such reseach could explain the enigma that is George W. Bush.

No heart (He's going to veto the bill to provide healthcare to millions of children
No brains (Think of New Orleans - Iraq - U.S. Ccnstitution ".... goddam piece of paper
No testicles (His no show National Guard duty to avoid Vietnam

            George W. Bush = All ANU$ <strong>

Another example of ridiculousness: being anti-abortion, anti-stem cell research, and PRO in vitro fertilization.

If you want to stop the average pro-lifer cold, ask if they support IVF, and if so, how many babies are killed in rounds of embryo implantations and "selective reductions"--another term for fetal abortion. Is it human life, and does it die?

There are almost NO in vitro fertilizations that involve ONE fertilized egg leading to ONE baby. (Sweden is the only country that mandates single-embryo transfer, for ethical reasons; the US and India have NO limits on how many human lives can be gambled on having one or two children).

It's mind-boggling how many contradictory beliefs the authoritarian right wing can juggle at the same time.

I'd call them on the fetus-in-a-box. I bet there isn't anything there. Or if there is, it is a fake.

And for what it's worth, thousands of full-term stillborn infants are incinerated every year BECAUSE THEIR MOTHERS CAN'T AFFORD TO BURY THEM. Same goes for adults without relatives willing to pay for their funerals. But of course the anti-legalized-abortion people aren't giving them burials.
