Feminist Peace Network

Thanks to Toby, one of our readers, who passed along this link to The Elders site.  As the site shows, there are more women involved in this effort than the original story that I posted yesterday indicates.  But clearly women are still in the minority.  One wonders why women like Nobel winner Rigoberta Menchu Tum (although she might be too young to be considered an elder, which would be another glaring problem with this group–how do you solve the world’s problems without including the wisdom of the young) or some of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, or ??  The  list is endless.
