Col. Ann Wright: It’s Time to Hit the Streets
It takes phenomenal courage to look at your life’s work and realize that the system in which you have been living, working and breathing is disfunctional. It takes yet more courage to walk away and start telling the truth that you have learned. But that is exactly what Col. Ann Wright is doing, leaving many year’s of military service and working now full time as a peace activist. She had these words to say at a lecture she gave recently in Eureka, CA:
“I believe the administration’s policies are making the world a more dangerous, not a safer, place. I feel obligated morally and professionally to set out my very deep and firm concerns on these policies and to resign from government service as I cannot defend or implement them.�
