Spinning Imus
Talk about great timing, I’ve been hanging out in a hotel room this evening channel flipping through the talk shows. What a rough day–Imus or Anna Nicole’s baby’s paternity, channel after channel, major eewww. The thing about Imus that is so revolting is that the only correct response should have been, “This isn’t acceptable, you’re fired.” But hey, you just don’t go firing cash cows, you spin it so that it is still a cash cow. And you know what the really perverse thing is–this is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Wouldn’t it be cool to maybe make a connection between the way Imus portrays women and how that impacts men’s perceptions of women and how they should be treated…sorry, just hallucinating, I’ll just switch back to the discussion about Anna Nicole’s baby…
